Please note that we offer a cross cutting service for Reclaimed Railway Sleepers. The price per cross cut is £6.00 inclusive of vat. We only cut to length (not through cut) on Reclaimed Sleepers and only on sleepers sold by Forestrall Timber Merchants. Being reclaimed, these sleepers are very dense and can contain elements of metalwork and grit that can damage our saws. Cutting to length is done by chainsaw so please bear in mind it is not a precision square cut and also that the cutting reduces the length by up to 1cm.
Please note that if you purchase treated sleepers from us that you have asked us to cross cut or otherwise reduce, you may need to re-treat any exposed surfaces to maintain the treatment integrity of the product!
